I do really want a Springfield SOCOM but other things are needed first.

Favorite pistol is an XD in .45 ACP , however I do also love my Ruger GP100 which my wife is very fond of and proficient with.

Favorite shotgun is a Benelli Nova Tactical in 12 ga. It will digest anything you want to use and is just plain fun too. Also can't wrong with a Mossberg 500.

Next survival skill is gardening. I've got a brown thumb and havent done well growing stuff so that's got to improve and then tackle canning. My wife knows the basics and she has canned some veggies and made pickles so I just need to get to helping more.

My grandfather, most certainly. He was a very skilled craftsman and could do just about anything he needed to. I should also add my grandmother as she had her own skillset that when I was young didn't really sink in.

Preparedness moto, cant say that I have one but "Don't Tread On Me" suits me just fine.

If I could choose my ideal retreat location it would either be on an out of the way lake with my wife and adult children and their respective families. Having the family is a must so it will most likely be in middle Tennessee.

My wife is very concerned about our future and what direction things could go in so she's on board all the way.

Although I've always been an outdoorsman and have lived in a wide range of climates in this great country I'm relatively new to prepping so my advice is go slow, learn as much as you can and get your basics in place then build upon that.

KP89DCAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
